It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Douglas Elwood of Boiling Spring Lakes, North Carolina, born in Southport, North Carolina, who passed away on November 9, 2024, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earl Lloyd Elwood, Sr. and Linder Marvel Hickman Elwood; his wife Sharon Long Elwood; his family, Danny Ray Sellers, Jr. (Tia) of Supply, NC and Leslie Nicole Elwood of Wilmington, NC.; his grandchildren, Dalton Garret Sellers of Bolivia, NC, Mary Grace Sellers (Gracie) of Wilmington, NC, Nadia Leigh Elwood of Wilmington, NC and Cayden Bryce Sellers of Bolivia, NC; his siblings-in-law, Richard C. Long (Donna) of Leland, NC and Melanie D. Long (Ricardo) of Winnabow, NC; and his nieces and nephews, Keven Elwood, Rev. Brandon Long (Scott), Brittney Nicole Long, Melaina Grace Long, Carly Clewis, Wyatt Clewis, Austin Aman and Maddison Brewington Seals (Maddie).
