He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Long Sr. and Laura Lucille Taylor Long. He is survived by: his wife Linda Farthing Long; his daughters, Sheree Abery (Julian) of Mooresville, Shannon Blevins (Keith) of West Jefferson and Stacey Gardner (Mason) of Newland; his sister Pamela Myers of Hamptonville; and his grandchildren, William Abery, Sarah Abery and Connor Blevins.
