She was predeceased by: her parents, James Puckett and Phebe Hoilman Puckett; her husband Tate Sparks; and her siblings, Taylor Puckett, Lucy Crowder, Hazel Forbes, Kathleen Grindstaff, Bonnie Puckett and Edna Singletary.
She is survived by: her children, Gina Triplett (Butch) of Blowing Rock, Lisa Abernathy of Blowing Rock and David Sparks (Sandra) of Concord; her grandson Zack Abernathy of Charlotte; her great grandchildren, Chance and Kyler Abernathy of Kannapolis; and her sisters, Judy Poole and Jimmie McClellan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
