It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Delilah Austin of Blowing Rock, North Carolina, who passed away on April 7, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, McOvie Larn and Darles Leona Poole Cook; and her brothers, Jimmy Dean Cook, Stevie Eugene Cook, J. C. Cook, Larn Cook, Andy Cook and Robert Edward Cook.
She is survived by: her sisters, Brenda Faye Cook, Helen Leonia Wellman, Kathy Flynn and Nita Ricker; her children, Jack Austin, Jr. (Sue) of Vilas, Jonathan Austin (Lorraine) of Mountain City, TN and Sharon Austin Whittington (Dennis) of Purlear, NC.; her siblings, Ann Pruett (Boyd) of Lawndale, NC., Jane Lail (Tom) of Lawndale, NC and Michael Cook (Kathy); her grandchildren, Jackie, Amber, Danielle, Jessica, Laura Rose and Joshua; and her great grandchildren, Madelyn and Kylie.
