He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, David (Tana) of Charlotte, NC and Darcy Schmitt (Dave) of DeWitt, MI; his grandchildren, Paige Schmitt of Charlotte, NC and Nick Schmitt of Washington; and his sister Linda Torpey (Terry) of Boulder, CO. He is also survived by 3 nieces; 3 nephews; 8 great nieces.
