He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kenneth Marion Barhite and Inez Lovella Jones Barhite; his wife Susan Sullivan Barhite of Blowing Rock; his children, Jennifer Lee Cahan (Scott) of Boone, Jeffrey Lynn Barhite (Mary-Stewart) of Charlotte and Kelly Kenneth Barhite (Amy Jo) of Green Bay; and his sisters, Lydia Tafoya and Jill Barhite of Colorado. He was also cherished by eleven grandchildren.
