He is survived by: his wife Mary Carter Battle; his sons, Preston Watson (Karen) of Grifton, NC and Joseph Carter (Joenisha) of Chocowinity, NC; his grandchildren, Fiona Watson of Charlotte, NC, Cassandra Watson of Grifton, NC, Kwani Smith, Ke'shawn Brown, Keandrian Brown and Torian Rhomes of Chocowinity, NC; his great grandchild Floyd David Moore, Jr.; his nieces and nephews, Tiffany Mattocks Sparrow (Donald) of New Bern, NC, Patricia Little of New Bern, NC, Dwight Mattocks of New Bern, NC, Ricky Little (Michelle) of Blounts Creek and Stanley Little of Bonnerton, NC; and his cousins, Bobby Gene McCabe of Blounts Creeks, NC and Val Nelson of New Bern, NC. He is also survived by three great nieces; four great nephew.
