It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernestine Spruill of Blounts Creek, North Carolina, born in Washington, North Carolina, who passed away on July 21, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Spruill and Carrie Spruill; her son Freddie Simpson, Jr.; and her grandson Lee DeShawn Norman, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Linwood Spruill (Plymouth), Wanda Guion-Blounts Creek and Jonas Simpson (Roper); and her siblings, Carrie Norman, Elnora Spruill, Sandra Spruill, Evangelist Regina Rawls and Elder Ronald Spruill, Sr. (Carol). She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
