We are sad to announce that on August 1, 2023, at the age of 97, Edna Chessher Gavin of Blounts Creek, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Albert Chessher and Ester Barrow Chessher; her spouse Lefate Durell Gavin; and her siblings, Malone, Calvin, Jesse Chessher, Viola Cook, Lucille Steel, Jane Hawes and Dorothy Hege.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Durell Gavin (Ina) of Blounts Creek and Earlene G. Sapp (Joe) of Winston-Salem. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
