He was predeceased by: his son Marshall Blango, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Lola Haywood Blango; his daughters, Reverend Monica Blango Ponds of Aurora, NC, Veronica Blango of Greenville, NC and Shakila Aldridge of Greenville, NC; his stepsons, Jermaine Haywwod of Aurora, NC and Donald Moore of Blounts Creeek, NC; and his siblings, Eliza Thompson of Blounts Creek, NC, Mamie Blango of Blounts Creek, NC, Katie Respass of Blounts Creek, NC, Sylvia Blango of Blounts Creek, NC, Sanila Blango of Blounts Creek, NC, Belinda McCray of Fuquay Varina, NC, Andrew Blango of Blounts Creek, NC, Joseph Blango of Elizabeth Town, NC and Bernard Blango of Washington, NC. He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the People's Memorial Chapel (219 N Bonner St, Washington, NC 27889). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the St. Anna Missionary Baptist Church (1841 Flat Swamp Rd, Blounts Creek, NC 27814).
