He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ashby Broadway and Elsie Fritts Broadway; and his sisters, Inez Spry, Willie Michael and Eddie Wiley.
He is survived by: his wife Blanche Metters Broadway; his children, Julie Broadway (Anthony Humphreys) of Reston, VA, Joel Broadway (Liz) of Raleigh, NC and Jan Broadway Pomnitz of Leland, NC; and his grandchildren, Julianne Pomnitz, Anna Broadway, Schuyler Broadway and Nicole Pomnitz.
