It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eddie Mabry Knight (Blanche, North Carolina), born in Halifax, North Carolina, who passed away on February 6, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Edward Knight and Ruth Ellington Knight; his former wife Blanche Vick Knight; and his siblings, Evelyn Thompson, Leon Knight and James Knight.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Knight; his son Tony Knight (Nancy); his grandchildren, Lauren Pike (Aaron), Ashley Williford (Bennett) and Andrew Knight (Kaylee); and his great grandchild Natalie Pike. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was a charter member of Northside Community Church where he was known as the Candy Man and where he remained active until the onset of Alzheimer's.
