He was predeceased by: his parent James Harvey Guthrie; and his siblings, Malcom Guthrie, Earl Guthrie and Velma Jean Richmond. He is survived by: his parent Ruth Mise Guthrie; his spouse Emily Arvin Guthrie; his children, Kenneth Guthrie (Connie), Mitchell Guthrie, James Guthrie and Linda Palmer (Marty) of Blanch, NC; his sisters, Dorothy G. Williamson of Leasburg, NC and Mabel G. Foster of Lynchburg, VA; and also, Connie Guthrie and Guthrie Road. He is also survived by two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
