It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Dowless of Bladenboro, North Carolina, who passed away on October 24, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Bryan and Nina Hester Bryan; her husband Ross Daniel Dowless; and her siblings, Ruby Singletary, Geneva Dove, Annie Armstrong, Wilton Bryan and Bostic Bryan.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Dowless (Judy), Bobby Dowless (Becky), Johnny Dowless (Sadie) and Rosella Pait (Durham); and her siblings, Elwood Bryan, Hubert Bryan (Linda), Louise Shelton of Bladenboro, Ella Rose Tyndall of Bladenboro, Jane Armstrong (Robert) of Bladenboro, Linda Ward (Arnold) of Bladenboro and Nina Singletary (Isaac) of Bladenboro. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Independent Church.
