It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Ann Edwards Smith of Bladenboro, North Carolina, who passed away on November 3, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Wilson Edwards and Edna Ransom Edwards. She is survived by: her husband Murphy Smith; her son Steven Smith (Alice) of Bladenboro; her grandson Mason Smith (Hannah); and her siblings, J. C. Edwards of Whiteville, Horace Edwards of Bladenboro, Kenneth Edwards (Bonnie) of Bladenboro, Hazel Babson of Bladenboro, Murtice Ransom of Clarkton, Debbie Edwards (Delbert) of Bladenboro and Faye Brown (L. T.) of Bladenboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
