He was predeceased by: his siblings, Shelton Dowless, James Livingston Dowless, Herman Dowless, Peggy Lou Dowless, Nancy D. Pait, Ronnie Hilbourn and Barbara Collins; and his parents, Leslie James Dowless and Monnie Pait Dowless.
He is survived by: his daughter Andrea Heverly (Brent) of Bladenboro; his siblings, Myrtice, Tommy Johnson of Dublin, Harry, Linda Dowless of Hope Mills, Filena and Carson of Autryville, NC; his sister-in-law Gloria Dowless of Clarkton; his grandchildren, Jeremy Wilkes (Amber), Monica Alissa Wilkes, Kayla Roberts, Cameron Heverly, Colton Heverly and Tanner Harrelson (Alyssa); and his great grandchildren, Kaylynn and Bentlee Harrelson (Margie McLamb). He is also survived by his parents had children from previous marriages.
