He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel McKnight and Marybell Bullard McKnight; his wife Christine McKnight; his daughter Thomasine Cheshire; his grandson Sammy Cheshire; his great grandchildren, Bryson Lewis and Baylee Cheshire; and his brother James McKnight.
He is survived by: his children, Harold Lewis (Cathy) of Bladenboro and Jo Allbright (Howard) of Bladenboro; his siblings, Lloyd McKnight (Patricia) of Bladenboro, Floyd McKnight (Edith) of Bladenboro and Peggy Pope of Bladenboro; his grandchildren, Christy Cheshire, Kimberly Cheshire (Jason Robinson) and McRae Lewis (Kelly Lewis); his great grandchildren, Scottie Storms (Alisha Jackson), Nicholas Storms and Justin Lewis; his grandchildren, Morgan Babson, Peyton Robinson and Camryn Robinson; and his great great grandchildren, Kayson Storms, Charlotte Lewis, Bryson Lewis, Jr., Grayson Sykes and Nevaeh Floyd.
