He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Lee and Irene Benton. He is survived by: his sisters, Annis Dove (Franklin) of Charlotte and Alta Jane Freeman of Wilmington; his nephews, Rodney Dove of Matthews, Bradley Dove of Fort Mill, SC and David Freeman of Wilmington; his niece Cheryl Boswell of Hampstead; and his pet Quchie. He is also survived by nine cousins.
