He was predeceased by: his parents, James Parnell and Ellen Parnell; and his brother Terry Parnell. He is survived by: his wife Emily Dove Parnell; his daughter Virginia Grace Parnell of Grand Junction, Colorado; his sisters-in-law, Dru Dowell of Bladenboro, Marie Ammons (Eddie) of Bladenboro, Mary Smith (Kenneth) of Elizabethtown and Sara Dove of Elizabethtown; his uncle Frank Parnell (Inez) of Bladenboro; his brothers-in-law, David Ray Butler (Penny) of Spruce Pines, Clyde Dove (Glenda) of Bladenboro, James Dove of Bladenboro and Glenn Dove of Bladenboro; and his pet Daisy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
