He was predeceased by: his parents, David F Hester and Ola Graham Hester; and his siblings, Asa Hester, Houston Hester, Clayton Allen (Hester), Madie Kinlaw, Nona Gray Robinson, Beleuh Pait and Ruby Henry.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Freeman Hester; his children, Graham Wayne Hester (Genia), Grady Deryl Hester (Mary Kaye), Sharon Hester Anderson and Crystal Hester Snyder (Timothy); his grandchildren, Stephen Wayne Hester (Lexie), Jennifer Noele Hester, Mary Kathryn Shepherd (Kyle), MacKenzie Jayne Snyder, Landon Timothy Snyder, Khloey Priscilla Snyder and Kendall Daisy Snyder; and his great grandchildren, Brenna Nichole Hester, Bella Elizabeth Hester and Everette Graham Shepherd.
Covid protocol will be practiced, but it is understandable and acceptable to the family for friends to remember them in prayer instead of attending. Due to Covid, if anyone wishes to bring food to the family you are requested to drop off at the home of Mr. Hester at 200 Gum St. Bladenboro, NC 28320.
