She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Best and Ruby McPherson Best; her husband Craven Martin; and her siblings, Jake, Joe Best, Nizy Bell Best and Nezi Mae Pope.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Martin of Winston Salem, Jerry Martin (Tabitha) of Maryville, TN and Deborah Butler (Bradley) of Bladenboro; her sister Cecil Crumpler (Bobby) of Gloucester, VA; her grandchildren, Amy Rosa (Jose), Brad Butler, Bridger Martin (Charlotte), Adam Martin (Ashlynn), Brittney Gaumer and Eric Jenkins; and her great grandchildren, Marisa Rosa, Isabella Rosa, Magnolia Martin, Stephen Martin, Silas Martin, Mason and Avery.
She volunteered her time in the community playing piano for the senior citizens center, church choirs, retirement homes, and received awards for her contributions to the Bladenboro community through her music ministry.
