He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Davis and Evelyn Wilkins Davis; his brothers, Scottie Davis, Walter Davis and Ronnie Davis; and his son Johnny Ray Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Martin Davis; his children, Dustin Soles (Acie) of Tabor City, Daniel Lynn Davis of Tabor City, Buster Davis (Jessica) of Tabor City, Terry Davis (Brittany) of Loris, Amanda Prevatte of Tar Heel, Margaret Davis of Georgia and Jessica Inman (Justin) of Chadbourn; and his siblings, Evelyn "Gina" Tatum of Elizabethtown and Robbie Davis of New York. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren.
