He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Raymond Sykes and Lucille Russ Sykes; and his brother David Raymond Sykes. He is survived by: his wife Elois Sykes; his son Dewey Sykes Jr. of Bladenboro; his sisters, Mickey Durden of Bladenboro and Brenda Sykes of Bladenboro; and his grandchildren, Tiffany Sykes and Trey Hudson.
