She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hargrove and Mary Hargrove; her husband Eddis Hester, Sr.; her brother Franklin Hargrove; and her son-in-law Kenneth Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Eddis Hester, Jr. of Bladenboro and Cathy H. Martin of Bladenboro; her siblings, J. D. Hargrove (Linda) of Bladenboro, Freddie Hargrove of Bladenboro and Diana Hinson (Tommy) of Evergreen; and her grandchildren, Erik Martin (Julie) and Nicole M. Garner (Lane).
