He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Porter and Frances Porter; his sisters, Carolyn McKee and Margie Hendrick; and his grandson Chay Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Porter; his children, Burman Ray Porter Jr. (Robin) of Sevierville, TN, Renee Bryan (Gary) of Bladenboro and Jody Porter (Brenda) of Bladenboro; and his sister Debbie Wallace (Bill) of Kingsland, GA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
