He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Austin and Lucille Barnard Wagner; and his son Chris Wagner. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Ramsey Wagner; his daughter Melissa Ernest (Jeremy) of Roanoke, VA; his sister Carolyn Dickerson of Hamptonville, NC; and his grandchildren, Jared, Andrew and Hannah Ernest. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Biltmore Church, East Campus or The American Cancer Society.
