He was predeceased by: his parents, Willam H. "Rip" Cordell and Mary Ruth Ellis; and his half-sisters, Maxine and Barbara. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Glenn Cordell of Spruce Pine; his son William Bryan Cordell (Laurie) of Greenwood, SC; his sister Phyllis Burnette of Travelers Rest, SC; and his granddaughters, Addie and Alexandria "Lexi" Cordell of Greenwood, SC. He is also survived by four great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
