He is survived by: his wife Mary Fran Oliver Spencer of Whiteville, NC.; and his children, Darrell Spencer, Jr. (Spence), April Spencer (Will Davidson) of Asheville and Joy Spencer of Black Mountain. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
