He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Cannon and Pauline Bumgarner Cannon; and his brother Bill Cannon. He is survived by: his wife Katharine Cannon (Scottie); his children, Katharine Cannon (Gretchen Mathison) of Durham and Eliot Cannon (Chelsea Cannon) of Boone; his grandchildren, Avery, Ethan and Brianna; his brother Robert Cannon (Vicky); and his in-laws, Lucy Bennett, Betsy Warren, Allen Doty, Linda Cannon, Bill and DeeDee Warren. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews.
