He was predeceased by: his parents, James Barnes and Margaret McFadden; and his wife Linda Kay Barnes. He is survived by: his children, Chris Edwin Barnes of Black Mountain, Vikki Lynn Barnes of Candler, Kayla Renee Barnes of Black Mountain and Tonia Marie Barnes of Leicester; and his brother Jim Barnes. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
