He was predeceased by: his parents, James Irving Hamilton and Mildred Elizabeth Smith Hamilton; and his daughter Mary Susan. He is survived by: his wife Eunice Hamilton; his son Mike Hamilton of Phoenix, AZ; his stepsons, Carl Anthony Cox of Asheville, Jimmy Kenneth Cox of Black Mountain and Ronald Steven Cox of Swannanoa; and his sister Phyllis Brown of Jensen Beach, FL. He is also survived by five grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
