It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Reverend David Miller (Black Mountain, North Carolina), born in Johnson City, Tennessee, who passed away on December 23, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Matson Miller and Caroline Hewes Wharton; and his siblings, Rev. Earl Miller, Jr., Hunter, Mary Ann Pitts, Rose Montgomery, Caroline Thuston, Tommy Miller and Don Miller.

He is survived by: his wife Polly Jean Yandell of Charlotte, NC.; and his children, David (Cilla), Nancy Dimmock (Frank) and Eddie (Grace). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Black Mountain Presbyterian Church (117 Montreat Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711) designated for Ministry of Hope (Africa) or to The Outreach Foundation for the work of Dr. Frank Dimmock in the refugee camps in Somalia, South Sudan and Kenya.

“Aunt polly, nancy and everyone, i have just now found out about uncle dave’s passing. So very sorry for your grieving hearts. What a wonderful life and legacy uncle dave leaves to us. Though i will miss the memorial service, my spirit will be there. Love you all, ruth (williamson)”
