With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rebecca Ann Penland McCurry of Black Mountain, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 21, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Rebecca may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rebecca touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Talmage Penland and Helen Turner Penland; and her sister Cynthia Penland Trisdell. She is survived by: her husband Elvis McCurry; and her children, Dianna Allison (Dennis) and Daniel James Penland (Dottie).
