With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Perry Lee Kuykendall (Black Mountain, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 23, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Kuykendall and Naomi "Oma" Kirby Kuykendall; and his brothers, Clarence, Carroll and Bobby Kuykendall.
He is survived by: his wife Rose M. Kuykendall; his nephew Clarence Osborne "Ozzie" Kuykendall (Rita); his great-nephews, Max and Jacob; his nieces, Patty Kuykendall, Debbie Allen, Carla Caldwell and Cindi Brackins (Jeff); his uncle Perry; his aunt Cathy Coomer (Gary); his nieces and nephews, Chelsea, Cayci Brackins, Austin and Dalton Marler; and his siblings-in-law, Beverly Caldwell, Reuben Caldwell and Judy Kuykendall.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Groce Funeral Home - Patton Ave. (1401 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28806). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Western Carolina State Veteran's Cemetery (962 Old Hwy 70 E, Black Mountain, NC 28711).
