He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Elizabeth and Quentin William Nelson; his wife Caroline Jean Nelson (CJ); his granddaughter Amanda Hess; and his grandfather Lettola.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Harris, Tina Maria Nelson-Moss (Scott), Helen Nelson and Travis Nelson; his brothers, Michael Nelson and Martin Nelson (Jane); his grandchildren, Jessika Hess, Shannon McBrien, Adam, Alexa Moss and Logan Nelson; his great grandchild Kameron Hess; his niece Amanda (Braithwaite); and his nephew Peter Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of him.
