It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Alice Goodridge of Black Mountain, North Carolina, born in Newfane, New York, who passed away on September 15, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Mary farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mary is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyman A. Goodridge and Alice Tice Goodridge; her siblings, Franklin Goodridge and Christine Goodling; and her siblings-in-law, Robert L. Goodling and Edna Goodridge.
She is survived by: her friends, Kathryn Hilliard, Karen Boyd, Audrey Bryant and Fridl Sullivan. She is also survived by three nephews, five nieces, and their children.
