It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luther Parton of Black Mountain, North Carolina, who passed away on January 24, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Parton and Hallie Beeler Parton; his wife Cornelia Anders Parton; his siblings, Edward, Jesse, Bruce, Ronnie, Walter Parton and Nellie Smith; and his granddaughter Carmen Ray.
He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda Ray of Morristown, TN; his siblings, James Parton of Black Mountain, NC, Ralph Parton of Maynardville, TN, Margaret Damon of Black Mountain, NC and Joyce Parton of Black Mountain, NC; and his granddaughters, Olivia Burleson (Larry) of Marion, NC, Jamie Honeycutt of Morristown, TN, Jessica Ray of Black Mountain, NC and Ashley Owens of Kingsport, TN.
