With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Carolyn Nix of Black Mountain, North Carolina, who passed away on February 23, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lois Carolyn Nix to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wade and Gloria Lockhart Blankenship; and her husband William Edward Nix. She is survived by: her children, Kristy Nix Beaver (Michael), Keith Nix of Black Mountain, NC. and Tug Nix of Black Mountain, NC.; her grandchildren, Micah Nix (Jessica), Sarah Nix, Jacob Nix (Stephanie), John Nix, Emily Beaver, Rachel Beaver and Toby Nix; and her great grandchildren, Sydney Nix, Chance Nix and Jonah Nix.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Black Mountain Presbyterian Church (117 Montreat Rd, Black Mountain, NC 28711). Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lois's honor to Hand in Hand of the Swannanoa Valley or Black Mountain Home for Children, Youth & Families.
