She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hopson and Ollie Hopson; her husband Ray Searcy; her siblings, James Hopson, Dora Parton, Annie Mae Spillars, Burgan Hopson and Jessie Hopson; and her grandchildren, Ricky White, Virginia Haney and Michael Haney.
She is survived by: her children, Daisy White (Don Laws), Betty White (James), Nancy Frady and Randy Frady. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Victory Baptist Church (80 Olivette Rd, Asheville, NC 28804). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Victory Baptist Church of Black Mountain (65 Vance Ave, Black Mountain, NC 28711).
