He was predeceased by: his parents, Ila Mae and John Avery; and his pets, Felix, Sasha and Tabitha.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his siblings, Bill and Sandy (Bill); his sister-in-law Pam (Steve); his nieces, Jennifer (Cesar) and Kristin (Jacob); his nephew Paul (Lizzie); and his great-nephews, Spencer, Parker, Hunter, Eli and Ezra.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the White Horse Black Mountain (105 Montreat Rd, Black Mountain, NC 28711).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made In Larry's name to BeLoved Asheville (belovedasheville.com) and Manna Foodbank (mannafoodbank.org), as they work to rebuild the community Larry called home.
