Katherine Anne Sursavage Holman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Katherine Anne Sursavage Holman of Black Mountain, North Carolina, born in Bryson City, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 15, 2024 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her husband Art Holman; her parents, Joseph Sursavage and Ruth Russell Sursavage; her daughter Jan Holman; and her brother Butch Sursavage.
She is survived by: her son Bud Holman of Keensburg; her grandchildren, Dustin Wroblewski and Kate Holman; her great grandchild Shannon "Fig" Holman (Erica Harris) of Brooklyn, NY; her brother Jim Sursavage; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Akridge Sursavage, Mary Cooper Sursavage and Billie Lopushinsky. She is also survived by the many friends, relatives, and neighbors she loved.
A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Black Mountain Presbyterian Church (117 Montreat Rd, Black Mountain, NC 28711).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry or Habitat for Humanity in care of Black Mountain Presbyterian Church.
