He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Vano and Mary Obusek Vano; and his siblings, John Vano and Maryann Vano Gorney. He is survived by: his wife Ann Pearson Vano; his children, Joseph'Joey'Vano, Therese'Terri'Teague (Justin) and Christopher'CJ'Vano (Makela); and his grandson Bray Alan Teague.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 23rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Black Mountain Presbyterian Church (117 Montreat Rd, Black Mountain, NC 28711). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery (962 Old US Hwy 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711).
