He is survived by: his wife Ina Hughs; his sons, Dr. John R. Hobson, Jr. (Flora) of Flat Rock, NC, Paul T. Hobson of Black Mt and Carl P. Hobson (Virginia) of Wake Forest, NC; his grandchildren, Dr. David R. Hobson (Jill) of Concord, NC, Patrick E. Hobson (Andrea) of Greenwood, SC, Cauley L. Hobson (Anna Bryce) of Charleston, SC, John Hobson (Lindsey) of Eagle River, AK, Elizabeth Blaine Hobson of Wake Forest, NC and Cari Weston (Scott) of Sanford, NC; and his great grandchildren, Carlisle, Teddy, Charlie, Ellison, Lauchlin and Carter.
