He was predeceased by: his parents, John Buchanan and Marjorie Buchanan. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Buchanan; his stepchildren, Julianna Kendall of Enka Candler, Benjamin Keith of Black Mountain, Cassandra Keith of Asheville and Brett Keith of Idaho; and his siblings, Betsy Allen (Ed) of Prairie Grove, AR, Jo Anne Elsken (Mike) of Fort Smith, AR, Bonnie Murphy (Rich) of Fort Smith, AR and Herbert Buchanan (Linda) of Oak Ridge, NC. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
