She was predeceased by: her son Randall Eugene Rice; and her siblings, Myrtle Gregory and Dorris McCall, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband William Leslie Rice; her sister Shelba McCall Peek Guthrie of Black Mountain; her daughter-in-law Brenda Rice; her grandchildren, Cindy Rice and Jonathan Rice (Christine); her great grandchild Gabrielea Noelle "Gabby" of Sacramento, CA; her nephews, Leonard Peek, Jr. (Cathy) and Darrin Peek (Felicia); and her niece Angie Peek Sartor (Bill). She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
