She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Verble and Charlie W. Calloway; and her siblings, James Howard, Margaret Louise Calloway Dearmon, Ruby Lee Calloway Kellough, Ralph William Calloway, Donald Eugene Calloway, Robert Leonard Calloway and Jerry Wayne Calloway.
She is survived by: her spouse Angus Theophilus of Black Mountain; her sons, Charles David Brown (Chuck) of Asheville, Richard McDonald Brown of Clayton, NC, Adam Hinton of Boone, NC, Luke Hinton of Boone, NC and Thomas Angus Brown (Tommy) of Boone, NC; her grandsons, Hayden Thomas Brown of Champaign, IL and Shafer Christian Brown of Kansas City, MO; her daughters, Sandy Leith Reynolds of Zephyrhills, FL, Donna Reynolds-Hoefer and Traci Akiki; and also Brown Jr. of Black Mountain. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
