She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Melton, Sr. and Ollie Lackey Melton. She is survived by: her husband Clyde Earl Roberts; her daughters, Kim Haynes Johnson (Gil) of Youngsville, NC and Durenda Haynes Bartholomy (Tom) of Morganton, NC; her stepdaughter Kathy Ann Roberts of Asheville, NC; her sons, Robert "Rocky" Haynes of Black Mountain, NC, Col. Timothy Blane Haynes (Lisa) of Maryville, TN and Michael Dean Haynes of Wake Forest, NC; her stepsons, Clyde Earl Roberts, Jr. (Anita) of Connelly Springs, NC and Jeffrey Lee McKinney (Donna) of Asheville, NC; and her brother Lewis Melton, Jr. (Frances) of Black Mountain, NC. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; two nephews and one niece.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Swannanoa (503 Park St, Swannanoa, NC 28778).
