He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly Bird Sobol; his children, Mary Elizabeth Michelle Sobol, Anna Christine "Christy" Sobol and Michael Joseph Sobol; and his parents, Mary "Dot" Lindsey Sobol and Chester Thomas "Chet" Sobol, Sr..
He is survived by: his son Chester Thomas "Chip" Sobol, III (Tina); his grandchildren, Anna Sobol and Will Lance; his siblings, Woody Sobol (Shirley), Michael Sobol (Carol) and Susan Sobol Watkins; and his sister-in-law Sandy Block (Paul). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Diabetes Association, honoring Tom's commitment to supporting these causes.
