He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his stepdaughters, Carrie Sells (Stephen) and Stacey Schlief (Richard); his grandchildren, Joshua Sells, Sarah Carnett (Clayton), Samuel, Jonah and William Schlief; his great grandchild Karley Jane Carnett; his half-sister Joy Hicks (John); and his siblings-in-law, Gary and Carol Pierce. He is also survived by two sons, a daughter.
Memorials may be given to Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry, Four Seasons Palliative and Hospice Care, Memory Care, Christ Community Church, EPC Montreat, NC, or charity of choice.
