It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carrie Wilson (Black Mountain, North Carolina), born in Yorktown, Virginia, who passed away on January 13, 2019, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Douglas Martin and Susie Martin; her husband Clarence Jerome Wilson (Willy); her siblings, Alice Martin Moore, Purdum Martin and Eugene Martin; her grandson Jonathan Wilson Leopard; her children, Sandra Wilson Leopard (Woodrow) of Lenior and Dale Jerome "Jerry" (Maryella) of Swannanoa; her granddaughters, Lauren Elizabeth Leopard and Julie Leopard Jarecki (John); her great grandchildren, Olin Wayne Ballentine III, Gavin Wilson McGraw, Ashley Marie Jarecki, Lauren Elizabeth Jarecki and Jacqueline Lindsey Jarecki; and her siblings, Jeanette Jones (Jack) and Ray Martin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Black Mountain, Building Fund or Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
